Regardless if she wrote this song or not, she absolutly kills it vocally. When you talk about "writing a song", she is not writing the entire score, I hope you know that. She writes lyrics, and melodies sometimes, thats about it. Ensembles like this are always a compilation of ideas. But you can't deny, she steals the show vocally. The acoustic version of this song I enjoy much more, you can really hear the resonence in her voice, awesome. Hate all you want, she won 5 Grammy's while on Crack wow

She didn't steal it, she got the rights and covered it. In all honesty, I've heard the Zutons version. I like the band but prefer Amy's version. Ronson is just song polisher. Anyway, since they wrote it, if they have the copyright, I'm sure they're happily enjoying the profits. I haven't heard them complain that she covered their song. It's not like Amy doesn't have writing chops. She is an awesome writer.

Hey, remember: 10 months after this song came out by the zutons, Whiney house put it out on mark ronson's album. on average it takes a few months to produce a song AND, i bet the song wasnt produced last min my conclusion: Amy WHINEYHOUSE totally stole this song from out under the noses of the zutons not a few months after it was released. That, my friend, is fact also, this song hit number 9 on the UK charts when it was by the zutons.WHINEYHOUSE brought it up to only 2. dusty demo my ass.
