One of THE great masters/virtuosos of the drum.

He also has a signature line through Cooperman. The drum in this video looks like his Cooperman Signature Bodhran. A beautiful drum, in looks and sound, and very versatile as Glen shows. I will someday own one of these! Playing like a tar for the bellydancers or playing jigs and reels for the irish lasses. . . Either way, a good drummer with a quality instrument will always have a front row seat!

Yes. I took a weekend workshop with him and he said he preferred the synthetics simply because they were not as subject to changes in sound due to heat, humidity, etc. as synthetics. He also had his own line through Remo.

Glen is a true master of our time. He has connected deeply with the source of creativity, virtuosity, and passion for his craft. Thank you is not enough to you Glen!!

wonderful solo, very deep and powerful. is that a synthetic skin?

This is good example of technique being simply a tool for creative expression. This solo has emotional content - I found it moving which is not something you can say of many drum solos :)
So many people have taken inspiration from Glen - frame drummers all over the world - that it is sometimes easy to forget what a great player he is. Great stuff. |
